![]() NSync 2002 Celebrity Tour - Rosemont, IL
![]() I had a chance to hang out backstage before the concert. I spoke with both JC and Joey of NSync. Both guys are awesome to talk to, and incredibly down-to-earth. Not like normal "Celebrities". The concert had it all. Starting off with some new, then going to some No Strings Attached, doing a Beatles Tribute Medley, then going to some Early Days, and then finishing off with some Dirty Pop. The opening act was a disgrace. Well, I take that back. The first act was alright. The cowboy fellow. However SmashMouth was a regular suckfest. I hate that group. They have talent, but... They really annoy me. A lot of new twists on NSync's songs... A Rock-Metal version of the ballad Gone. A New Orleans Blues version of I Want U Back. The Nelly Remix of Girlfriend. Justin Timberlake has the most amazing voice I have ever heard on a human being. The only way to describe his voice is amazing. The way he finished off Gone... Was literally breath-taking. It makes you sit back and say "Wow...". It was great for me to see, because sometimes I take how good I am for granted, and whenever I see someone the caliber of Justin, it reminds me of the growth I still need to make as a vocalist. However, it shows that I can do it. From where I started to where I am now... It's a big difference. But, I'll say that five months down the road again. They really tried to showcase everyones voice in the "Old School Medley" which featured songs like "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", "My Girl", "Sailing", and "That Thing You Do". They are so diverse in their styles, they can really do it all. Also, the excitement during "Up Against The Wall" was great... The crotch-thrusting caused the place to explode, but that would figure. Justin sure knows how to get the girls going as he told us all that the nickname for his ass was "Buttstin".. He then proceeded to shake his ass for the entire crowd to see... Then he threatened to take off all JC's clothes and throw him in the crowd if he didn't finish the song. But.. I'm gonna stop telling the whole concert incase you're planning on going... Because I don't wanna spoil it for you. But if you're comtimplating going or not. You should! It was so fun... An amazing experience that really reminds me why I am a part of this business, and why I will continue to be until my dreams are achieved. No cameras were allowed backstage or anything, but I did manage to snap these when security had their thumbs up their asses (Sorry about the tags, but I don't trust you people):
![]() ![]() ![]() Concert Rating:
![]() 10/10 - Nothing could have made it better.. Except maybe not having to go through an hour of SmashMouth... I wanted to stick my fingers down my throat and vomit. But anyway... 10/10. Because it was amazing.
